Position Summary:
The Daycare Staff is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for
children in our program. This role involves lesson planning and implementing age-appropriate activities,
supporting social and emotional development, and ensuring compliance with all New York City and New
York State childcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and implementing daily lessons and activities that promote learning through play,
creativity, and exploration
Completing student progress and evaluation reports
Supervision of children at all times to ensure safety and well-being
Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
Adhere to NYC Department of Health and NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS)
regulations
Assist with meals, rest periods, and toileting as needed
Collaborate with other staff to create a supportive team environment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
Must meet all NYC DOHMH/OCFS background check and clearance requirements
Work Schedule:
Full-time, Part-time: Monday through Friday *Hours may vary depending on program needs
